I’m Dr. Rakhi Mehrotra, a board-certified pediatrician with over 10 years of experience—and a proud mom of three. Caring for children from birth through adolescence is not just my profession, it’s my passion. Getting to know my patients, building lasting relationships, and being part of their journey as they grow is what makes pediatrics one of the most rewarding careers in the world. There’s nothing quite like a child’s warm smile or hug — they always brighten my day!

I believe every child deserves thoughtful, evidence-based care delivered with compassion. My approach is centered on listening, understanding your concerns, and partnering with you to make the best decisions for your child’s health. From newborn checkups to guiding teens through life’s changes, I am here to support your family at every stage.

Preventive care, nutrition, mental wellness, and growth are at the heart of my practice. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where children feel comfortable and parents feel heard. I also have a special interest in supporting children on the autism spectrum, providing patient, individualized care.

My background in pediatric research at Tufts University ignited a lifelong commitment to learning and staying current with the latest advances in medicine. Beyond the office, I enjoy giving back through community service.

As a proud East Bay resident, I believe in giving back to the community I call home. You’ll often find me volunteering at local health fairs and family wellness events — most recently at the BayFC/B You Mom’s Clinic — where I provide pediatric care and counseling to children and families in need. I also enjoy taking part in community activities and cultural events, which help me stay connected, celebrate diversity, and share in the vibrant spirit of our community.

I’ve had a lifelong passion for dance and enjoy performing with a local troupe. Traveling and exploring new places with my family is one of my greatest joys, and I’m committed to holistic wellness through practices like yoga and meditation. These interests help me stay balanced, energized, and deeply connected to both my patients and my community.
