Ron M. Golan, M.D.

Dr. Ron Golan is a board‑certified urologist at Sutter Health in Santa Barbara, CA, committed to providing high‑quality, evidence‑based urologic care. He strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing any urologic concern and receive clear explanations about their diagnosis and treatment options. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Golan is the co‑author of Operative Dictations in Urologic Surgery, a widely used surgical textbook offering detailed guidance on more than 120 urologic procedures. He is proud to serve the greater Santa Barbara and Central Coast communities.

He completed his surgical internship and urologic residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center – New York-Presbyterian in Manhattan, with advanced training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He has published over 20 peer‑reviewed research articles in leading medical journals and has presented his work at multiple national and international urology conferences. Dr. Golan completed his fellowship in endourology and minimally invasive surgery at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, specializing in complex kidney stone treatment as well as robotic and endoscopic surgery of the kidneys, bladder, and prostate. This high‑volume, comprehensive training prepared him to manage the full spectrum of medical and surgical urology.
