Sara M. Copeland, M.D.

Dr. Copeland believes that because parents know their children better than the doctor does, their insights are just as important as what she sees when she examines their child. Working together to provide the best care for children is very important to her. Often there are no easy answers, but together she and families can work to ensure children get the best start in life. She believes being a pediatrician is not just about well-child checks but also making sure the family is supported—it takes a team to make sure a child is where they need to be to grow up healthy and happy.

Outside of Medicine, Dr. Copeland enjoys reading, walking along the beach (her happy place), and doing yoga and Pilates in her free time. She also has two little dogs who keep her company.
