Victor S Wang, M.D.

Dr. Wang's training at Georgetown University instilled in him the importance of Cura Personalis—caring for the whole person. His passion for Neurology, and specifically Headache Medicine, grew from a deep desire to understand and treat suffering. He recognizes that people suffer due to various limitations—whether physical, emotional, genetic, or environmental—and he is committed to helping patients, their families, other providers, and the broader community understand how to overcome these challenges and pursue a meaningful quality of life.

This commitment has driven his dedication to clinical excellence. As a physician-scientist, he has conducted research in headache epidemiology, big data, treatment profiles for new medications, and the understanding of rare headache disorders. His advocacy work, including lobbying through Headache on the Hill and completing the Act-NOW advocacy fellowship with Miles for Migraine, reflects his mission to combat stigma surrounding neurologic conditions, particularly migraine and other headache disorders.

He actively collaborates with headache specialists worldwide and has presented his work at international research conferences, focusing on his special interests in headache disorders and neurologic care for minority populations, including the Asian and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. In addition, he is dedicated to medical education, teaching students, residents, and trainees how to better serve diverse communities.

Through his clinical expertise, commitment, and advocacy, he strives to empower his patients and their families to seize the lives they deserve. Together, he works with them to navigate life with a neurological condition and to find fulfillment and happiness along the way.

Dr. Wang hopes that his research, involvement with advocacy organizations, and professional engagement with the American Headache Society and the American Academy of Neurology will continue to enhance the lived experiences of his patients.

Dr. Wang loves exploring new experiences, including visiting museums, trying new restaurants and cuisines, and traveling. He previously authored numerous reviews as a Yelp Elite for over five years and is always on the lookout for the next best bakery.
