Wilson C. Lai, M.D.

Dr. Wilson Lai is a fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopaedic surgeon who completed his fellowship at USC, residency at UC Irvine, and received his MD at UCLA medical school. At USC, he was team physician for USC Athletics including the USC Trojans football team, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse teams. Dr. Lai also served as team physician for the Los Angeles Kings professional NHL hockey team. He uses arthroscopic techniques to treat shoulder and knee injuries including dislocations, labral tears, rotator cuff tears, meniscal tears, ACL tears, and cartilage injuries. He believes in highly individualized, patient-centered care including non-surgical conservative approaches to a problem.

Dr. Lai has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, written textbook chapters, and published surgical technique videos. He has presented at numerous local, regional, and national meetings. He understands the research, techniques, and technologies in orthopaedic surgery to ensure he is offering only the best for patients under his care.

A native of Northern California, Dr. Lai was raised in San Francisco where he attended Lowell High School and discovered his passion for sports. Dr. Lai is heavily involved in sports and believes in an active healthy lifestyle. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball, running, hiking, weightlifting, and white water rafting.
