His goal is to give back to the communities around him by making high‑quality, accessible care available, integrating his clinical knowledge with cultural understanding and empathy.

His professional interests include urgent care management for acute illnesses and minor injuries; mental health evaluation, support, and treatment integration in primary and urgent care settings; family‑centered care across the lifespan with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity and community health; chronic condition management in the context of urgent care visits, including hypertension, diabetes, and asthma; promoting patient education and self‑management strategies for both physical and mental well‑being; and collaborative care with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic treatment.

He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP), where he previously served as President of the Fresno Chapter.

Outside of work, Johnny enjoys staying active and exploring the outdoors. He is an avid runner who has completed multiple marathons, and he enjoys working out to support both physical and mental wellness. He also loves hiking, fishing, exploring the ocean and marine life, and spending time gardening and planting as a mindful way to connect with nature.
