About Me

Philosophy of Care

Leigh’s philosophy of care as an audiologist is rooted in patient‑centered, compassionate practice that recognizes the profound impact hearing and balance have on communication, independence, and overall quality of life. She believes effective care begins with listening—taking the time to understand each patient’s concerns, experiences, and goals beyond test results. By creating a supportive and respectful environment, she aims to build trust and empower patients to actively participate in decisions about their care.

She values clear, accessible communication and education, ensuring patients and their families understand diagnoses, treatment options, and realistic expectations. Collaboration is central to her approach, both with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, to provide holistic and individualized care. Guided by evidence‑based practice, empathy, and cultural sensitivity, Leigh strives to deliver care that not only addresses hearing health needs but also enhances confidence, connection, and long‑term well‑being.

Leigh’s clinical interests include comprehensive audiologic evaluation and patient‑centered hearing aid care, including selection, fitting, verification, and ongoing support with advanced hearing technologies and assistive listening devices. She also has a strong focus on vestibular and balance assessment, with experience evaluating dizziness and vertigo, including identification and management of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Across all areas of care, she emphasizes patient education, clear communication, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support functional outcomes and quality of life.

Community Activities

She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the California Academy of Audiology (CAA), and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Rincon del Diablo Chapter, and is seeking transfer to a local chapter.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Leigh enjoys reading, trying new brunch spots with friends and family, cooking at home, and spending time outdoors hiking.
