Samuel J. Lee, N.P.

Samuel believes each patient is unique and has a story to tell. He approaches patient care from a strength-based perspective, which focuses on promoting empowerment, self-efficacy, and hope for patients and their families. He minored in diabetes at UCSF, the only advanced practice nursing school to offer such a program in the nation. He also has an interest in complementary alternative medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, and truly believes that the human body has the amazing ability to heal itself when provided with proper food, sleep, and exercise.

He also retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 2026 as a Lieutenant Colonel, working as a public affairs officer after 20 years of service.

Outside of Medicine, when not taking care of his young daughter, Samuel enjoys organic gardening, fixing things around the house, researching sustainable energy projects, and traveling the world while eating delicious foods. Samuel regularly volunteers at his church as a sound engineer for a 2000+ member congregation, as well as providing health screenings for a nonprofit organization that provides services directly to low-income and under-resourced neighborhoods in San Francisco and the Peninsula.
