Sarah E Watermulder, LCSW

Sarah Watermulder, LCSW, combines skills, expertise, and warmth to help families go from feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or helpless to feeling capable of making meaningful changes. She empowers them with knowledge and practical strategies in order to be present for the unique joys of their family's journey, even through the hard stuff. She specializes in depression, anxiety, kids' and teens' adjustment to difficult circumstances, and early childhood mental health.

Sarah has worked for 20 years in support of families in multiple settings - home, school, parks/outside, homeless shelter, group home, community center - with early childhood age (0-6), elementary ages, and middle and high school as well. She uses nature, movement, art expressions, games, and visuals to support kids in discovering and practicing their own coping skills, to support parents in highlighting shifts that can be made at home to increase the family’s support and resilience, and to give kids and teens a space to talk about what is going on, while imagining positive paths forward.
