Aaron Healy

Dr. Aaron H. Healy is a board‑certified cardiothoracic surgeon at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento, specializing in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and complex cardiac surgery. He earned his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and M.D. from the University of Utah before completing general surgery training and a Master’s in Clinical Investigation. Dr. Healy subsequently completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
With extensive experience in ventricular assist device (VAD) therapy, transplant outcomes, and surgical innovation, Dr. Healy has authored numerous peer‑reviewed publications and delivered national and international presentations. His research has been recognized with multiple awards, including the ISHLT Transplant Registry Early Career Award.
Dr. Healy has held appointments as a reviewer for leading journals and has contributed to medical education through lectures, mentorship, and curriculum development. He is an active member of professional societies including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
