Alison G Chang

Alison G. Chang, M.D., is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist and the Department Chair of Hematology and Oncology at Palo Alto Medical Foundation. She has served as a practicing physician at PAMF since 2020 and stepped into departmental leadership in 2023, guiding clinical operations and advancing quality of care for complex cancer populations.
Dr. Chang completed her hematology/oncology fellowship at the UCLA Health System and her internal medicine residency at UC Davis. She earned her M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine and holds a B.A. in Urban Studies, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
Her research experience spans HIV-related malignancies, Kaposi sarcoma, and health‑system–level outcomes, including developing a multicenter Phase II clinical trial protocol through the AIDS Malignancy Consortium. She is the recipient of the AMC Domestic Fellowship and has published in peer‑reviewed journals while contributing to national oncology and hematology societies.
