Christopher Jones

Dr. Christopher Jones is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in the use of ionizing radiation to treat cancer, focusing on tumors of the head and neck, prostate, and brain. He investigates optimal use of radiation therapy (radiotherapy) techniques including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), high-dose brachytherapy, and image-guided radiation therapy. Dr. Jones is a Principal Investigator for Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) National Cancer Institute-sponsored oncology group clinical trials. He has authored numerous publications and abstracts on radiotherapy and imaging techniques to assess cancer progression, predict tumor recurrence after surgery and radiotherapy, and visualize response to treatment. Dr. Jones lectures nationally and internationally on the role of radiation therapy in the management of head and neck cancers.
