David K. Roberts, III, M.D.

Dr. David K. Roberts is a nationally recognized interventional cardiologist with more than three decades of leadership in cardiovascular medicine, research, and innovation. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line for the Sutter Health Sacramento Valley Region and holds multiple system‑wide leadership roles guiding clinical operations, technology assessment, and research strategy. A Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions, Dr. Roberts has extensive expertise in complex coronary and structural heart interventions, including TAVR, MitraClip, percutaneous valve therapies, and advanced peripheral vascular procedures.

Dr. Roberts has served as principal or co‑investigator on numerous national and international clinical trials and has authored more than 100 peer‑reviewed publications. His career includes significant contributions to device development, physician training, and procedural innovation. Prior to his civilian career, he served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps.
