Debbie S Kuo

Dr. Debbie Kuo is a board‑certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. She earned her B.S. in Chemical Biology with Highest Honors from UC Berkeley and her M.D. with a research thesis from UCSF, where she also completed her ophthalmology residency and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kuo went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at Duke University. Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of glaucoma and cataract care, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), complex surgical management, and advanced diagnostic technologies. Dr. Kuo is an active contributor to the American Glaucoma Society and has served as a reviewer for multiple scientific journals. A dedicated clinician‑scientist, she has published extensively on glaucoma, cataract surgery, ocular genetics, and anterior segment disease. She is also deeply committed to medical education, having mentored trainees at UCSF and Duke.
