Faranak Kamangar

Dr. Faranak Kamangar is a board‑certified dermatologist at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, where she has provided comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care since 2016. She earned her M.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, followed by an internship at California Pacific Medical Center and a dermatology residency at UC Davis. Dr. Kamangar is an accomplished researcher with numerous peer‑reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and national and international presentations, particularly in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, psychodermatology, and dermatologic therapeutics.
Throughout her career, she has contributed extensively to clinical research, serving as both principal investigator and sub‑investigator on studies involving biologic therapies, laser treatments, and procedural dermatology. Dr. Kamangar is also deeply committed to community health and global service, participating in medical missions and leading philanthropy initiatives benefiting dermatology‑related causes. She is recognized for her patient‑centered approach, academic leadership, and dedication to advancing dermatologic care.
