Gregory Engel, M.D.

Dr. Gregory Engel is a cardiac electrophysiologist with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, specializing in the diagnosis and management of complex heart rhythm disorders. He has been in practice since 2006 and currently serves in the Silicon Valley Cardiology Division. Dr. Engel holds multiple leadership roles, including Chairman of the Cardiovascular Department at Sequoia Hospital and Director of the Sequoia Cardiovascular Co-Management program. He also serves as National Co-Chair of the Electrophysiology Clinical Council for CommonSpirit Health.
Dr. Engel completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and earned his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, where he also completed residency, chief residency, and fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
An accomplished educator and researcher, Dr. Engel has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and remains actively involved in advancing cardiovascular care.
