Henal Patel, MD is an Interventional Radiologist with Sutter Medical Group in Sacramento, California, where she has served as faculty since August 2022. She specializes in interventional oncology, including liver, renal, and bone ablations, as well as women’s health procedures such as uterine artery and gonadal vein embolization. Dr. Patel is also engaged in radiology quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
She completed her Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, following her Diagnostic Radiology residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she pursued early specialization in interventional radiology. Dr. Patel earned her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience.
Board-certified in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, she has received multiple awards recognizing her excellence in research, compassion, and clinical care.
