Dr. Tooley earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics, with honors, from Johns Hopkins University, followed by his Doctor of Medicine (cum laude) and a Master of Health Sciences from Yale University School of Medicine.
He completed his internal medicine training at Stanford Hospital & Clinics, where he also served for residency and fellowship in general cardiology. He subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
