Dr. Joey English, MD, PhD, is a neurointerventional surgeon and Medical Director of Neurointerventional Surgery at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame. His clinical expertise focuses on minimally invasive, endovascular treatments for acute ischemic stroke and cerebrovascular disease.
Dr. English completed his MD and PhD in Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by neurology residency, chief residency, and fellowship training in neurocritical care and neurointervention at the University of California, San Francisco. He has served as faculty at UCSF and held leadership roles in multiple neurointerventional programs.
An active researcher and educator, Dr. English has contributed extensively to multicenter clinical trials, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and is widely recognized for his teaching excellence and leadership in stroke care.
