John D. Hoff

Dr. John David Hoff is a distinguished physician and leader in obstetrics, gynecology, and women’s health, bringing more than four decades of clinical and academic experience. He earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. in Physiology/Pharmacology from the University of California, San Diego, where he also completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Hoff currently serves as Executive Director of Women’s Health at Palo Alto Medical Clinic, where he has led major strategic initiatives to expand and enhance clinical services. His leadership roles have included Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and long-standing service on the Medical Staff Executive Committee at Sequoia Hospital.
A committed advocate for patient safety and quality improvement, he has championed programs in perinatal safety, DVT prevention, and Just Culture. Dr. Hoff is also a published researcher with contributions to endocrinology and reproductive medicine, complemented by decades of professional service and community engagement.
