Justin C. Voog, MD, PhD is an attending radiation oncologist at Ridley-Tree Cancer Center and Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and specializes in the management of genitourinary cancers, particularly prostate cancer, with expertise in evidence-based radiation therapy and clinical trial design.
Dr. Voog earned his MD and PhD through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of California, San Diego. He completed his transitional year internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital, and residency training through the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program under the Holman Research Pathway. He has previously held faculty and attending roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and academic appointments at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
An active clinical investigator, Dr. Voog serves as a site principal investigator for national phase II/III clinical trials, including genomically guided treatment strategies in prostate cancer. His research spans translational oncology, stem cell biology, and radiation therapy outcomes, with publications in Nature, JAMA, Cell Reports, Cell Stem Cell, European Urology, and other leading journals.
