Karolina Harger, MS, RN, ANP-BC, CNS is a highly experienced nurse practitioner with over 25 years in healthcare, including more than 15 years specializing in gynecologic oncology. She currently practices at Sutter Health (Palo Alto Medical Foundation) in San Francisco, where she provides comprehensive care for patients with complex gynecologic cancers. Her clinical expertise includes diagnosis, treatment, survivorship planning, and management of recurrence, as well as advanced therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments.
Ms. Harger is recognized for her technical skill in complex pelvic and vulvar examinations, combined with a patient-centered approach that emphasizes emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and respect for diverse backgrounds. She plays a key role in managing clinical trial patients, postoperative care, and urgent oncology issues, and is highly regarded for her leadership and ability to navigate challenging clinical scenarios.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University and holds advanced certifications as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist. She also completed a Sexual Health Counselor certificate program from the University of Michigan, further strengthening her holistic approach to patient care.
In addition to her clinical practice, Ms. Harger contributes to the advancement of oncology care through advisory board participation with leading pharmaceutical organizations and speaking engagements focused on emerging cancer therapies. She is also actively involved in community fundraising efforts supporting cancer research and patient care initiatives.
