Kidist Yimam

Dr. Kidist K. Yimam is a board‑certified transplant hepatologist and Medical Director of the Autoimmune Liver Diseases Program at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco. Since 2014, she has led multiple clinical programs, including the Non‑Invasive Liver Fibrosis Assessment Clinic and the CPMC Cholangiocarcinoma Program. A nationally recognized expert in autoimmune liver diseases, primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), Dr. Yimam is an active investigator in numerous international consortia and clinical trials. She has authored extensive peer‑reviewed publications and is a frequent invited speaker at national and international conferences. Dr. Yimam also serves on multiple professional committees, editorial boards, and global research groups, contributing to advancements in hepatology practice and patient care. Committed to mentorship and global health, she co‑founded international training initiatives and community support programs. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her family.
