Laurence Yee

Dr. Yee is a general and transplant hepatologist at California Pacific Medical Center who specializes in liver disease/hepatology and gastroenterology. He serves as a director of the Fatty Liver Program at CPMC and an associate program director of the gastroenterology fellowship.
His main research is focused on advancing robotic and laparoscopic surgical approaches to gastrointestinal diseases and cancer. In addition, he is very interested in the new curriculum (Bridges) surgical education of medical students and surgical residents at the University of California, San Francisco.
After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1986, Dr. Yee attended the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for medical school. He completed his residency at the UCSF as a surgical resident in 1993. Subsequently, Dr. Yee completed his fellowship in gastrointestinal research in 1995 and became chief resident of surgery at UCSF in 1995. Dr. Yee completed his fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at Washington University, St. Louis in 1998.
