M Dwight Chen, M.D.

M Dwight Chen, MD is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist with extensive experience in the treatment of gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, cervical, and endometrial malignancies. He has been a member of the Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group since 2007, where he serves as Chair of Gynecologic Oncology and Medical Director of Women’s Health Specialties.
Dr. Chen earned his medical degree from George Washington University and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He pursued fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at the University of Minnesota.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Chen is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University.
Dr. Chen has contributed extensively to clinical research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and national presentations focused on surgical techniques, chemotherapy, and outcomes in gynecologic cancers. His clinical and leadership roles have included directing oncology programs, advancing robotic surgery initiatives, and improving multidisciplinary cancer care delivery.
