Minal Bhanushali

Dr. Bhanushali is a board-certified neurologist, currently seeing patients in the Palo Alto and San Carlos locations within Sutter. She also serves as our Medical Director at the Research Institute in Palo Alto. After finishing medical school, Dr. Bhanushali started working as a research associate in the Neurology department at University of Minnesota and was involved in various clinical trials for Parkinson’s disease. This perked her interest in the rapidly growing and evolving field of Neurology and hence, pursued a Neurology residency at Detroit Medical Center, followed by fellowship in Neuromuscular and Clinical Neurophysiology at Emory University. Dr. Bhanushali has a wide breath of experience working at various institutions including Michigan State University, where in addition to practicing general neurology she directed the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) clinic, and at Kaiser Permanente Medical center in Oakland where she was Medical Director of the Stroke program. Additionally, she worked as a Neurohospitalist and telestroke consultant at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Washington.
