Nitin Rohatgi
Nitin Rohatgi, MD, MBA, is a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in breast and genitourinary (GU) oncology, with interest in clinical research and artificial intelligence/digital health applications in healthcare. He earned his MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India (1990), and an MBA with distinction from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, UK (1999). His training includes fellowships in hematology/oncology at the University of Cincinnati (1999-2002), and internal medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts (1993-1996).
Since 2008, Dr. Rohatgi has been in private practice at Sutter Medical Group in Sacramento, California, where he serves as Medical Director of the Breast Cancer Program and Leader of the Breast Program of Oncology Distinction for Sutter Health. He previously held positions at Sacramento Center for Hematology (2003-2008) and University of Cincinnati (2002-2003). He maintains active licensure in California and is affiliated with Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, while holding membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Rohatgi has received awards including the ASCO Merit Award (2001) and Mayo Clinic Fellows Travel Award (2002). His research contributions include presentations at ASCO and ASH meetings, and over 14 publications in journals like JCO Precision Oncology and Annals of Oncology, focusing on targeted therapies, biomarkers, and clinical trials for breast, prostate, and other cancers (2001-2024).
