Dr. Ranjan Ray, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure and heart transplantation. He currently practices at Palo Alto Medical Foundation and has held academic appointments at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Ray completed his medical degree and earned a PhD in tumor biology at Georgetown University. He further trained at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Stanford University.

Dr. Ray has extensive clinical trial experience as a sub-investigator on multiple multicenter studies focused on heart failure therapies and cardiac outcomes. His research contributions include peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as Cancer Research and ASAIO. In addition to his clinical and research work, he has served in leadership roles within heart failure and transplant programs and participated in institutional committees supporting quality and medical education.
