Robert Kincade, M.D.
Robert C. Kincade, M.D. is a board-certified cardiovascular surgeon with over two decades of experience in complex cardiac and thoracic procedures. He currently serves as Director of Cardiovascular Surgery at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento and as Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery within Sutter Health. In addition, he is an Executive Board Member for the Capitol Cardiovascular Quality Initiative, reflecting his commitment to advancing quality, safety, and outcomes in cardiovascular care.
Dr. Kincade has held several key leadership roles throughout his career, including Surgical Director of Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support and Chief of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine. He has also contributed to regional healthcare improvement efforts as an Advisory Board member for Golden State Donor Services.
He earned his medical degree magna cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry with high honors from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Kincade completed his surgical training in general surgery at UC Davis Medical Center and in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the Texas Heart Institute. He is board certified in both general surgery and thoracic surgery and has authored peer-reviewed publications in the field of cardiovascular surgery.
