Roy E. Abendroth, M.D., FACR, is a board-certified radiation oncologist at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, where he has practiced since 1992. He serves as Vice Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology and previously held leadership roles in the Breast Cancer Center of Excellence Program and the radiation oncology residency program. Dr. Abendroth earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California and completed his radiation oncology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
A Fellow of the American College of Radiology, Dr. Abendroth has also served as president of the Northern California Radiation Oncology Society. His research and publications have addressed breast, rectal, brain, and metastatic cancers, as well as radiation therapy techniques and proton beam therapy. A dedicated educator and mentor, he has supported aspiring health professionals through the University of California, Berkeley’s Health and Medical Apprenticeship Program and other community-based educational initiatives.
