Rudolph Schrot, MD, MS, FAANS is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in spine and neurological disorders, with extensive clinical, academic, and leadership experience. He serves as Chief of Spine for the Musculoskeletal Service Line at Sutter Health and Chairman of Neurology for Sutter Medical Group, in addition to holding multiple leadership roles at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento.
Dr. Schrot completed his neurosurgical training at UC Davis School of Medicine and earned a Master of Advanced Studies in Clinical Research, following his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo and undergraduate training at Yale University.
He has been a practicing neurosurgeon with Sutter Medical Group since 2014 and holds an adjunct academic appointment in neurosurgery. His clinical and research interests focus on spinal disorders, brain tumors, and innovative surgical techniques.
Dr. Schrot is an active principal investigator on multiple clinical trials evaluating treatments for spinal disease and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He is a member of several national neurosurgical societies and has received multiple awards recognizing his clinical excellence and contributions to research.
