Ryan F Kendle, M.D.

Ryan F. Kendle, MD is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist at Sansum Clinic’s Ridley-Tree Cancer Center in Santa Barbara, California. He has been in practice since 2016 and has participated in clinical research since 1999, with a strong focus on translating scientific discoveries into improved patient care.
Dr. Kendle completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he also served as Chief Fellow. He received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California, Davis. Earlier in his training, he earned a Master of Arts in Cell and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
His research experience spans immunotherapy, lymphoma, and translational oncology, including work on PD-1/PD-L1 blockade and kinase inhibitor therapies. Dr. Kendle has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations and is a recipient of the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
