Saunders C. Hsu, MD, MPH is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist currently practicing with Sutter Medical Group. Dr. Hsu has over two decades of experience in pediatric hematology and oncology, previously serving with Northern California Children’s Hematology/Oncology Medical Group from 2006 to 2025.
He completed his pediatric residency at SUNY Brooklyn Health Science Center and fellowship training in hematology/oncology at Oregon Health & Science University, where he also earned a Master of Public Health.
Dr. Hsu received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
His career includes diverse clinical and research experiences, including global health work in Thailand and service as a physician in Alaska, as well as laboratory research focused on cancer diagnostics and immunology.
