Steven W. Nakano, MD is a board‑certified movement disorder neurologist in the Neuroscience Division at Sutter Medical Group in Sacramento, California. He completed his movement disorders fellowship and neurology residency at Georgetown University Hospital, following an internal medicine internship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Nakano earned his medical degree from the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University and holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from The Colorado College.
Dr. Nakano has contributed to multiple peer‑reviewed publications and national and international scientific presentations, with a focus on Parkinson’s disease, dysautonomia, therapeutic interventions, and neurodegenerative disease biomarkers. He is an active member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Medical Association.
