Sutter care centers have invested millions of dollars in advanced medical technology so that your imaging exam can be performed close to home, by compassionate technologists in 85 comfortable settings located throughout Northern California.

Specialized imaging doctors and board-certified radiologists partner closely with your doctors to provide accurate diagnostic information quickly and efficiently. Trained in every imaging subspecialty — emergency, oncologic, pediatrics, musculoskeletal, nuclear medicine, neuroradiology, women’s imaging and more — radiologists in the Sutter Health network work with your care team to diagnose your condition and provide follow-up exams to assess treatment success.

Catching Disease Early

Some diseases, like breast cancer, are so common and insidious that Medicare and private insurance companies have approved programs to screen for the disease. Our breast imaging services provide the highest quality mammography in compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act.

Our newest screening service is low-dose CT lung cancer screening, recently approved for high-risk individuals by Medicare and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. Radiologists in the Sutter Health network work with pulmonologists and other lung cancer specialists to ensure any abnormal findings receive appropriate treatment or follow-up.

We provide safe, comfortable settings with the highest standards of safety and excellence. Our pediatric patients are assured the lowest appropriate radiation dose—if their study requires radiation — because technologists in the Sutter Health network adhere to the Image Gently® protocols.
