Specialty Programs

Transplant Oncology Program

Our transplant oncology program brings together specialists in liver disease, cancer and transplant medicine to provide coordinated care for people facing liver-related cancers. Many of our patients also live with underlying conditions such as cirrhosis, hepatitis or other health concerns that require careful, specialized management. Our team works closely together to expand treatment possibilities and guide patients through complex diagnoses with compassion and expertise.

We treat liver cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), and colorectal or neuroendocrine tumors that have spread to the liver. Treatment may include hepatic artery infusion (HAI) pump therapy, histotripsy, chemotherapy and liver transplantation. Each plan is reviewed by a multidisciplinary tumor board and tailored to your needs, helping to identify the most appropriate next steps in care. In some cases, you may qualify for clinical trials or new treatments not widely available in Northern and Central California.

If you or a loved one has liver-related cancer, talk with your care team about whether a referral to our transplant oncology program could be a helpful option.
