Dr. Yu Xie joined the CPMC Center for Advanced Heart Failure Therapies in 2018. She completed her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco where she was a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow. She went on to complete her internship, residency and chief residency at the University of California, San Diego. She then completed her fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases, serving as Chief Fellow and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at Cedars Sinai Smidt Heart Institute in Los Angeles.
At CPMC, she is actively engaged in clinical research in heart failure, cardiac transplant and mechanical circulatory support. In addition, she is dedicated to teaching and is involved in the core curriculum of the general cardiology fellowship and cardiac catheterization lab.
