Ambulatory Surgery Unit - CPMC Mission Bernal Campus

Volunteers warmly welcome patients and guests upon arrival, creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere. They serve as a bridge between staff and waiting families, helping to facilitate communication and ease concerns. Additionally, they assist in keeping the pre- and post-op areas clean and organized while providing non-clinical support as needed. Volunteers should be comfortable engaging with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, demonstrating sensitivity to language and cultural differences to ensure a positive and inclusive experience for all.

• Ages 16 and older.
• Committed to serve a minimum of 100 hours in one year, at least two to three hours per week.
• Complete online application and personal interview
• Complete and pass a background check (adults only).
• Complete and pass a health screening.
• Junior Volunteers — have signed parental consent form.
