Emergency Department - CPMC Mission Bernal Campus

Emergency Department volunteers play a vital role in supporting staff, patients, families, and guests. They assist with patient transport via wheelchair, escort visitors within the department, and help maintain a welcoming and organized environment in waiting areas. Additionally, they support staff by restocking supplies, delivering materials to the lab, and providing other non-clinical assistance as needed. Volunteers should be comfortable engaging with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, demonstrating sensitivity to language and cultural differences to ensure a positive and inclusive experience for all.

• Ages 18 and older.
• Commitment to serve a minimum of 100 hours in one year, at least three to four hours per week.
• Complete online application and in-person interview.
• Complete and pass a background check (adults only).
• Complete and pass a health screening.
• Junior Volunteers — have signed parental consent form.
