The California Pacific Medical Center Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited, two-year program. This flexible, intimate training is designed for the individualized needs and interests of two fellows.

Our comprehensive clinical and research tracks focus on hands-on diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders in both inpatient and outpatient facilities, under the guidance of experienced faculty.

Your clinical experiences here will include a robust diabetes program, thyroid fine needle aspirations (FNA) and surveillance imaging screening for thyroid cancer.

Sharing Clinical Knowledge

Learn critical on-the-job thinking and clinical reasoning in regular academic sessions including Endocrine Case-Based conferences, Core Curriculum Conference lectures, Bi-annual Research Conference presentations, a monthly Journal Club, Endocrine Tumor Board and Grand Rounds.

A Full Spectrum of Rotations

Your clinical rotations here will include our General Endocrine Clinic, FNA Biopsy and Ultrasound Clinic, Bone Disease Clinic, Reproductive Endocrine Clinic, Diabetes and Pregnancy Programs, Weight Management Clinic, Pediatric Endocrine Clinic and Inpatient Endocrine Consult Service.

Guided Simulation Training

Learn to perform fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules, suspected parathyroid adenomas and suspicious lymph nodes in patients with a prior history of thyroid cancer in our high-tech simulation lab.

Poised for Impactful Research

Work with our program director on research within the Sutter Health system and beyond, including case reports, quality improvement and large-scale IRB approved projects. We fully support your work with faculty, statistical and financial resources for publishing or presenting at regional, national and international conferences.
