The one-year Hand Microsurgery Fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) offers ACGME-accredited training in microvascular reconstruction for upper and lower extremity injuries, preparing you for a successful career as a hand surgeon.

For board-eligible plastic, orthopedic and general surgeons, our fellowship is designed to enhance your microsurgery skills. Your robust clinical experience will be focused on the intricate and delicate work required in hand surgery and extremity reconstruction.
Work alongside world-class faculty as you receive hands-on training in microsurgery techniques, including the management of traumatic injuries and complex reconstructive procedures. As part of the Buncke Clinic team of the award-winning Sutter Health system, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of challenging cases and a diverse patient population.
Holistic Clinical Experiences
Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care in a wide range of clinical experiences, including trauma cases and reconstructive surgery.

Tailored for Working Surgeons
Our fellowship is designed specifically for practicing and student surgeons in plastic, orthopedic or general surgery fields. If you’ve already completed training in plastic or orthopaedic surgery and are eligible for junior staff privileges at California Pacific Medical Center, you may be eligible for attending status in order to admit patients to the hospital while operating independently under proctorship until cleared for full staff privileges.
