Research and Scholarly Activities
Opportunities and Support
Our residents have gone on to present at many national and international society meetings. Specific accolades include three Emerging Liver Scholars, Regional ACP Presentation Winner, National ACP Finalist, Regional ACP Jeopardy Winners, National ACP Jeopardy Runner-Ups, multiple plenary and oral presentation awards at national society meetings, published manuscripts in original research and clinical vignettes, and academic editors of various scientific journals.
How we support our residents in their research:
- Each resident is assigned a faculty mentor who will help identify projects aligned with their career goals
- CPMC provides statistical and IRB support for resident research projects
- CPMC provides financial support for residents to present their projects at national meetings and conferences
- Residents will have an opportunity to showcase their projects during regularly scheduled conferences and at the annual CPMC GME-wide Research Day
