How To Apply to Our Program
Application Process
Applications for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Sutter Roseville Medical Center must be submitted through the Residency Centralized Application Services (ResidencyCAS).
M.D. and D.O. graduates from U.S. schools may register for ResidencyCAS through their Deans' offices. The ECFMG serves as the Dean's office for all international medical graduates.
Qualified candidates meet the following criteria:
- Completed ResidencyCAS application
- 3 Letters of recommendation
- Standard Letter of Evaluation (SLOE) – we will accept one OB/GYN specific SLOE, preferably from home institution if applicable. Will accept SLOE from away OB/GYN
- Two other letters of recommendation. We encourage the medical student to request off-service standard letter of evaluation (O-SLOE).
- USMLE – Pass
- Military applicants - Will accept 3 letters of recommendations (they do not have to be in SLOE form) from applicants that have served in the military. We recognize that these physicians may not be able to provide an up-to-date SLOE from an OB/GYN
- Dean’s letter
- Medical school transcript
- Personal Statement
- All international medical graduates must have a PTAL at the time of application and submit ECFMG certification.
The program will begin reviewing files through ResidencyCAS as soon as the files are opened for review. Invitations will be sent out as soon as possible after that.
