The Transitional Year Residency Program is well-rounded, with exposure to a diverse range of patients, conditions, and practice environments. Residents will cycle through a variety of general and specialized experiences at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. Clinical training is provided to residents through bedside teaching, small group discussions, and regular conferences.

Transitional Year

  • Internal Medicine: 12 weeks
  • Emergency Medicine: 4 weeks
  • Electives: 24 weeks
  • Ambulatory Medicine: 4 weeks
  • General Surgery: 4 weeks
  • MICU: 4 weeks

Live at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills, where the sun shines 340 days a year. Roseville is home to abundant job opportunities, low crime rates, and all that Northern California offers, from wine country to ski slopes.
