Where to Stay

If you don’t have friends or relatives in the SF Bay Area we would suggest starting with Airbnb, Craigslist, UCSF's housing list, or SFGate. Theresa McGovern, our medical student program coordinator, also has occasional leads” on student housing.

Where to Play

Residents, interns, office staff, nurses, hospitalists and other attending physicians tend to be a great source for recommendations. You can also log on to SFGate for lots of happenings around the Bay Area.

How to Get Around

San Francisco has a very good mass transit system. We suggest you start with Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and San Francisco Muni. California Pacific has shuttles to and from the Civic Center BART and Muni stations, and to all its campuses from the main Van Ness Campus.
