About the Residency Program
The Sutter Women’s Health Residency Program is dedicated to training compassionate, skilled clinicians who provide inclusive, evidence-based care across the lifespan.
Residents train in a collaborative and supportive learning environment alongside experienced faculty who are deeply committed to education and mentorship. Didactic education is delivered through a variety of formats including interactive lectures, case-based discussions, journal clubs, and resident-led presentations. These sessions emphasize evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning and the application of current research to patient care.
Hands-on learning is a core component of our curriculum. Residents participate in skills-based labs and simulation sessions that focus on pelvic and gender health and lymphedema.
We value curiosity, professionalism and whole-person health, and we're committed to fostering an inclusive community where residents feel empowered to grow. Our graduates are well prepared to become leaders, educators and advocates in our field.
