Amanda Le, M.D.

I was born in Saigon, Vietnam and came to the United States when I was 14 years old. My interest in practicing medicine has grown gradually since then. I was intrigued by the challenges of medicine and motivated by the opportunities to make a real difference in people's lives.

After my undergraduate studies at Oregon State University, I went to Oregon Health Sciences University for medical school. Thereafter, I completed my residency at Providence Medical Center, Portland, Oregon. I practiced in Oregon as an internist for four years and gained a tremendous amount of knowledge in patient care. In 2001 I relocated to the Bay area after I got married.

As an internist practicing primary care, I am a strong advocate of healthy living and preventive care. These are the best ways to stay healthy. As a woman, I am particularly interested in women's health. I also provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care for people with chronic medical conditions. I enjoy talking to patients to learn more about their family, their hopes and their dreams.

I feel that physicians and patients should be partners in health as we work together to achieve optimal care.

Dr. Le spends much of her time staying physically and mentally fit watching her two young sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, listening to music, playing golf and traveling.
