Amy C. Lin, M.D.

Dr. Amy C. Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and immigrated to Southern California in 1988. She attended Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena and later majored in Human Biology at Stanford University, where she discovered her passion for medicine.

Dr. Lin was drawn to Internal Medicine because of its focus on treating the whole person and providing compassionate, comprehensive care. Her commitment to primary care was deeply influenced by her grandmother in Taiwan, who lived with multiple chronic health conditions, including kidney disease, heart disease, digestive issues, and recurrent atrial fibrillation. Despite having a condition that could likely be improved with a pacemaker, her grandmother was hesitant to pursue treatment due to concerns about the healthcare system and the absence of a trusted primary care physician. This experience inspired Dr. Lin to become the kind of physician her grandmother never had.

As a primary care physician, Dr. Lin strives to build trusting, long-term relationships with her patients and serve as their advocate in navigating healthcare decisions. She believes patients should feel supported, informed, and empowered, especially when facing complex medical choices.

Dr. Lin is passionate about practicing medicine and making a positive difference in her patients' lives every day. Whether counseling patients about diet and exercise, discussing mental health treatments, encouraging preventive screenings, or simply sharing a laugh, she values both the science of medicine and the meaningful human connections that come with caring for patients. She believes strongly in preventive medicine and works to ensure healthcare maintenance needs are addressed at every visit.

Dr. Lin views healthcare as a partnership and actively involves her patients in the decision-making process. She feels grateful for the opportunity to care for her patients and is continually inspired by their resilience, determination, and life experiences.

Dr. Lin attended Penn State for my medical school and came back to California for residency.

Outside of Medicine, Dr. Lin enjoys Bikram yoga, boot camp classes, swimming and an occasional tennis match. She also enjoys listening to Klove, drinking tea and reading all at the same time. She loves going to Color Me Mine with her daughter to do some pottery painting. Dr. Lin also enjoys having philosophical discussions with her kids about the meaning of life. Life is full of wonderful surprises!
