Antoun C. Manganas, M.D.

Dr. Manganas approaches psychiatry with a foundation of respect, collaboration, and an appreciation for each patient's unique life experience. He believes that mental health is influenced by many factors, including medical conditions, relationships, culture, personal history, and the transitions that occur throughout life. He strives to create a thoughtful and supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood, using careful listening, comprehensive assessment, and individualized treatment planning. In caring for older adults, he is particularly focused on preserving dignity, autonomy, and quality of life. He views psychiatry as both a science and a human relationship, built on trust, honesty, compassion, evidence-based care, and close collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Dr. Manganas is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the California Medical Association, and the Stanislaus County Medical Association. His professional interests include geriatric psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and medical education.

Outside of Medicine, Dr. Manganas enjoys gardening and traveling.
