About Me

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Garber’s interest in pulmonary medicine grew from his personal experiences with childhood asthma. While his symptoms waned with age his early respiratory limitations influenced his ultimate career trajectory. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Garber left to study history at UC Berkeley. This was followed by time at Columbia University where he obtained a Masters in Science in Human Nutrition. Missing California, Dr. Garber returned to UCLA for medical school, residency, chief residency and ultimately fellowship. He is thrilled to have settled in the Santa Barbara area where he spends his free time with his wife and three daughters.

Dr. Garber is interested in helping patients manage their advanced lung diseases.
